Happy Birthday

At 11:56am Sunday January 7, 2007 Victoria was born. We waited anxiously to hear her cry and she didn't disappoint us. I kissed her forhead and welcomed her into the world, then said goodbye as she was whisked off to NICU for her day and a half stay.

As I kiss her forhead tonight, I look back at all she has done and all she means to us. Every morning I am greeted with a blanket to the side of the bed and a soft "good morning mommy" as she climbs into bed with me. During the day I get to watch her grow. She dances like no one's watching, she laughs at everything (even when it's one of my bad jokes). She makes my heart happy and proud with everything she does. From sharing her toys with another child, helping me clean the house, walking the dog, saying hello to everyone she meets and on rare occassions being nice to her younger brother. Even her mad skills at playing candy land amaze me (and I'm not just saying that cause she beat me twice)
She melted my heart the day she was born and everyday she makes me proud. Little girl I am proud of you, of who you are and who you are becoming. We love you Victoria, Happy 3rd birthday.

Happy Birthday as well To Jeffrey (http://phonemom.wordpress.com) and Morgan (http://myrambles.wordpress.com) who celebrated thier 4th birthday. No, that isn't a typo, they really are turning 4. I know, non of us look old enough to have kids this old, what can I say! We are awsome parents with some kick ass kids!

30 challenge

Welcome to 2010. So eahc year I tell myself that I am going to lose weight. We all seem to do this. Well, this year I am putting my best foot forward. For Christmas I got the EAsports workout for the WII.

Today is day 1 of the 30 day challenge. Yeah, that's what I said. 30 days? are you insaine? I can;t do anything for 30 days. Including something that will kick my butt all the way around.
So, here's how it's gonna go (and no, I don;t mean out the door when it tells me to pick it up a notch as I'm sweating and trying to keep up with a computer who needs an attitude adjustment) I'll do the workouts and every friday I'll let you know how it's going. So here's some starting information.
I weigh (and don't you dare laugh I worked hard to get to this weight) 140
I'm 5"4' yes, that's short. I know, i get it. someday (sooner than I think) my kids will be looking down on me...and that's ok.
Today I burned 65 calories. and now I'm ready for a drink and a ew dozen cookies and a nap. My legs hurt and I walk funny (though I've always walked funny so I'm not sure what the difference is)
So every week I'll tell you the calories and how much I weigh. yeah...brave I know. this will only backfire if I don't lose any weight...guess that means no more junk food...yeah, like that'll happen any time soon!

So...happy butt kicking new year to me!
