run sandy run!

tonight for the first time in many years, I ran. i bought new sneakers for the event.
I got Michael to take the kids home from dinner, i grabed the dog and hit the pavement. can I just say that it felt good. good beyond words. i have been feeling the need to run for a few weeks now. I dont run, I hate running, but I guess this is what my body needed. I guess sitting on the couch or just being in the house all day has taken its toll.
I took our dog, Sandy, with me. She was happy to go out, just not happy that it was a faster walk than she ever gets. she was tired by the time i got back...i felt...light. i'm not sure I have the right words to tell you how it felt, maybe relieved? at peace? it was just nice.
I am hoping to try to do this 3 nights a week. mon, wed and fri with the weekends off. I think the dog may even come to like this event. gets her out of the house and lets her run off some energy. my time...ahh. I really couldn't think of a better way to spend 20min alone. just me, the dog and the pavement.

laundry

I got one sick kid and one awsome kid.
Scooter and I went to walkmart today to get some food, just as we were ready to check out, the computers fail. So we stood in line for 30 minutes. The boy was AWSOME beyond imagination.he ate his goldfish and just hung out. it was fabulous. i have never been so impressed with my boy.

Now, the laundry part. I got scooters laundry all done and put away. Beanie gets home, I get her stuff in the wash, then she throws up, after I tried to give her some meds to bring her fever down...that was rough. She got her favorite blanket, thank goodness her laundry had just been started.
i hate having a sick kid. It makes me feel awful that there's nothing I can do for her. even the meds have no affect...that is where we're not panicking from a recall. god I hate those. and it always happens just after we've given whatever has been recalled to the kids. stupid drug people, cant they get this crap right BEFORE they send it out.

To my Children

Will you remember the night that we both snuggles into bed with you because the thunderstorm was loud?
Will you remember laughing and tumbling on beanie's bed for hours?
how about the time we put jim's tent up in the front area and took our nap in it?
What about all the plants we planted?
The time both of yo learned to swim? how excited you both were when you realized you could get around the pool without us. though you still liked to jump with us to make big waves!

i wish you could remember all the small things, all the people. It makes me sad to know that the only way you will know this people are the memories of everyone around you. So be prepared for the stories, lots and lots of stories (and ps, dont believe everything you hear!)

As life is passing by, I want both of you to know that we love you and have always wanted both of you. you make us proud to be your parents. to watch you grow (though sometimes too fast) and learn and explore the world around you. The first time beanie put a puzzle together by herself, watching scooter figure out how to put the wooden train tracks together.

So many things that I wish you could remember, guess that means I have to take more pictures!
