Easter Bunny weekend

Easter weekend started out with Church on friday night (to make room for others on sunday...and they had some cool activities for the kids after service). Then on to burgers for dinner.
Saturday morning I popped out of bed at 7am...took beanie with me to get free trees from Lowes for Earth day and picked up a few other things while we were there. Then home to fill some eggs for the egg hunt at 10am that's put on by our neighborhood every year.
The kids had a blast. Logan shook the eggs to see if it made noise, if it didnt, he put it back assuming it was empty. Beanie did great. She even helped some other smaller kids look for eggs after she was all done.
Off to lowes again for my new faucets for the master sinks...that was a nightmare, but they look awsome.
Sunday friends came over and had Easter breakfast with us, bringing with them the kids baskets. It was awsome that Jen made the kids baskets. She did an awsome job. Games, tattoos, and ofcourse...candy. Thank Jim and Jen...we all appriciate what you do for the kids.
and then there's monday...blah

The Boy's Birthday

Logan celebrated his 3rd birthday. Where does the time go. It was a
small crowd, but very awsome. He got some Chugginton toys, cars, lots
of sugar and lots of spoiling.

I remember the day he was born. It was heart-wrenching. All I wanted
to hear was him cry. He was born on 4-4 weighing 4-4 at 6:46am. He was
so tiny I was afrid we'd break him. i remember sleeping with him while
he was in the NICU. I'd spend all day long with beanie, then sleep at
the hospital during kangaroo care.

Last night we snuggled. he fell sleep in my arms. i know that those
days are all too quickly coming to an end. I love how he puts his head
down and run at me at full speed, laughing the whole way. How he can
ram his heading into a solid object, shake it off and keep going. how
he can take all his shots, not cry and ask for chocolate WHILE getting
his shots.

Such an amazing little man, so full of life and energy. Brave and bold
and not afriad of life.

The other birthday gift...he has a small case of pnemonia. his
reward...a nebulizer, more antibiotics and lots of rest. kid took
everything like a champ. Well, the xrays, atleast. he started the
breathing treatment tonight.

Sometimes being a parent is scary. i'm not afraid to say that I'm
scared. This is what i feared when it came to the boy. So small..so
fragile. i know he's not, but to know that something got into his
lungs that i can't protect him from and could land him in the hospital
is scary.
